9/27-10/1 Places Recentley Visited

One of the coolest places I have been recently has got to be Wal-Mart. But don't take it as just your normal Wal-Mart. This is the new one that had just opened up this month in Lancaster. I guess you can say it has pretty much the same items in it as any other Wal-Mart, but there are many difference's still. For example, this new and exciting place has new shiny floors. There so new and clean, that you can practically see yourself in the reflection. The lights were extremely bright and seemed like heaven from what I heard. It must have been just because there is no dust covering them. It's weird, I mean, you just walk around and get the feeling that this place is cool. You realize that this store just opened and you're actually like the first people to shop in it. How many people can possibly say they did that? My bet is that there are not a lot. You have to be pretty important to get an opportunity like that. I had so much fun walking around that store. There was so much variety to check out. You could go on one side of the store and look at a bottle of Ranch salad dressing, or go to the other and listen to the tracks on the latest Britney Spears CD. The best part about this trip that I call an adventure is that we ended up leaving without buying a single thing.

9/27-10/1- Favorite Season

My favorite season would definitely have to be summer. This is obvious in my mind for many reasons. One totally consisting based off the weather. The summer weather is just perfect for everything you do. I love the heat, and how the sun is so bright and warm all the time. You can lay out and get a tan for free! How amazing is that, you don't even need to go to a tanning place and pay money. Just the fact of being outside is a great feeling. It's hard to go outside on a bright sunny day and not be in a good mood. As you look around at the scenery, the view is amazing. The green vegetation and full trees spread across the horizon while the wind blows, and all the colors seem so bright. There's wildlife everywhere, and can hear it almost all around you. Also, since the summer weather is so warm, there are numerous ideas of things to do. You can swim, which is almost impossible in any other season because it's so cold outside. Any kind of game such as soccer or football is great to play with the dry ground and warm atmosphere. Concerts are nice in the summer along with camping and other outdoor events. Summer in my eyes is the best season. It's perfect to do practically anything you want, minus anything dealing with snow!

9/20-9/24 -Past

Throughout my life I have accomplished many things. Some of these I believe to be great. A great time in the past that I recall was when I used to do BMX. It was a few years back, probably when I was around eleven years old. Every Saturday my father and I would drive out to Hamburg's town park were they have a recreation center. In the park there is a fenced in are where they have a track similar to a motocross track. Here you would pay, practice for an hour, and then you would race after. Each day there would be three races with people in your same age group and experience level. My father and I continued these races for about five years where I won the championship four out of five times. We always wanted to go out of the state and race at different places but never got around to it. It would have been nice to experience different levels of competition and practice on a different track. The last year that I was participating, I was leading in wins and probably would have won the championship. The championship was in Hamburg that year and would have been very easy to win and close to home. But midway through the season I grew bored of it and did not want anything do with it anymore. I was more interested in hanging out with friends and doing things at home. Now that I look back at it i wish I would have just finished of the season right and then quit after. Now I only wonder how good I could have been and think about the great times.

9/20-9/24 - Present

In present day America, things haven't really changed for me. It's still the usually life and same routine. Every day you wake up, shower, eat breakfast, head to school and then wait it out till you hear that magical bell. After all that the day still continues. Practice is up and you endure the next two hours as you wait for the luxury of being home. When you get sometimes all you want to do is hang out or go out with friends. Most of the time that's impossible because the school work gets involved again, and you're stuck at home doing more work. It's been the same things practically every day besides for the unrealistic two months we call summer vacation. Even in that time that's supposed to be our vacation, you got to get up for work and there's no time to sleep in. every year it seems like the time goes by faster and faster. It's a good thing but a bad one at the same time. It's a no win situation really. You think while you're in school it's the best thing for the time to fly by. But now that it's senior year, you want it to last as long as possible. After high school it's off to the real world and I'm not sure if I'm exactly ready for that yet. Now you realize how easy school is, and understand why everyone was like make the best of it because you'll miss it in the end. At this moment I'm enjoying my time and having fun. Senior year will be great. I have no job to worry about or get stressed over, so all is good.

9/20-9/24 - Future

As for my future, I am completely unsure as to what I'd like to do. I plan on going through some sort of college and head down some sort of a path towards a career. Some ideas that have just popped up over time as I strolled through my school years are Pediatrician, Police Officer, Border Patrol, or Park Police. I might end up attending college at Genesee Community College for a while and the transferring to SUNY Brockport studying Criminal Justice. I would like to participate in sports in college, and plan on running track. I'm not very interested in leaving the state for any college or career. But if I end up being in border Patrol I'd like to move to Texas. This career seems very interesting to me. I think it would be great to get out of the state and move to a place with great weather. The weather in Texas is perfect for what I'm looking for. I like the hot weather while the humidity is very low there. The only thing I'd have to get used to is speaking Spanish. I will need a lot of training and schooling for teaching Spanish since the job would be along the Mexico Border. To have this career you need to speak fluent Spanish and i believe more than one. It would be a great experience for me to do this and learn more about this culture, while being part of security for the United States of America.

9/13-9/17 #1

It was just like every other day in Kansas. There were eight wicked tornadoes tearing across the state. Block by block, the tornadoes shredded through houses, and sent citizens skidding down the street. I watched frantically as I tried to figure out what to do. As I ran in circles frightened for my life, I got nothing accomplished. With the windows rattling, I looked out and saw my barn fly by and take out the neighbor's kitchen. The tornados headed closer, and I decided to go hide under the covers on my bed. It was the safest place I could think of, and was going to wait it out. The sounds grew louder, and all of a sudden the whole house shook. All the walls were being ripped off and blown across the neighborhood. I tried to run away but was swept off my feet and tossed around in the air with the remaining parts of my house. I repeatidly got smacked around by debris as I flew through the air waiting for the painful impact. The ground was a few feet away, and i closed my eyes. Right as i was about to hit the ground, the couch swooped in and cushioned my landing. I was so grateful and fortunate for this opportunity. I stood up and walked away with the tornadoes trailing behind.

9/13-9/17 #2

It was such a long and exhausting journey my family and I experienced. We took a road trip down to Nevada to see the Grand Canyon. Coming all the way from Maine, we piled all eight of us into the van and headed down. It seemed as if all the scenery was the same. There were just miles of boring desert, hills. After about two days of on and off driving we reached our destination. The car pulled up and the view ways amazing. The sun shinned on the Hills in such a way; you wouldn't be able to see anything like it somewhere else. The environment was so peaceful and calm, you could hear yourself think. I liked everything about this place, and thought what it would be like to live there. I pictured a huge ranch house out on the edge of the ridge, in the middle of nowhere away from problems and the rest of the world. It would be a fantastic atmosphere and create positive moods.

9/13-9/17 # 3

It was a dark mysterious night, and I was wandering outside. As I strolled around my backyard I noticed the winds building up, and the sky growing darker. All the clouds rolling in over the hills were extremely dark and about to let lose all the rain. But for some reason the rain never came. I found the weather and scenery to be very interesting and intriguing. So I went to the old tool shed in the corner of the yard and looked around. In the back of the shed I found a lawn chair. I picked it up, dragged it out to the center of the yard and sat down. After a few moments of relaxation and amusement the weather drastically changed. It didn't get worse it seemed to getter better. All of the wind seemed to diminish, but all the clouds continued to roll through. So I got out of the chair, walked to the edge of the yard, and looked out to the ocean. The water seemed to pulsate, and moved in and out. I started to get nervous and was worried of what's to come. Right as I started to put the chair away and head inside, the sky grew unbelievably dark. I turned around in fright and was petrified to find a two hundred foot tidal wave about to land right in my back yard. With not even a second to move, I was struck by the wave with such force it pulled me away to sea. All that remained of my house was the old lawn chair propped up in my backyard.
