11/1-11/5- R.E.S.P.E.C.T

Respect is a word that can have many meanings to it, but all the possible meanings are deep with thought. It’s important to understand what respect means and why it is important. People interpret the word respect in many different ways. The definition of respect is to show regard or consideration for something. This means you show you care, listen and can be responsible. It's important that you don't ruin the respect between another individual because it is very essential for any relationship or friendship. Without respect there is no friendship, only frustration and anger. No one wants to be around someone you have no regard for what they say or do. If you are a respectful person you will acknowledge what other people have to present and will not challenge there authority. For example, talking while another is talking is disrespectful. Along with not following directions someone has given you, especially if they are at a higher level of you such as a teacher. The easiest way to lose respect for an individual is to lie to them. If you decide to lie to someone you are taking a huge risk that isn’t right in the first place. When caught in a lie there is no trust involved, and you won’t have that part of you known as respect acknowledged. Anger is not necessary for something so easy to do. Just be courteous to others and keep the feelings of others in mind and your respect will remain in others.
