1/10-1/14 Blog 1

Social networking has limitedly affected my lifestyle. The only way it has had an impact on me is through the means of communication. The only social networking that I am involved in would be Facebook. I occasionally go on Facebook to see what some people are up to. This is mostly when I am home and have nothing to do. I will go onto the computer and just search random things. I end up going on Facebook were I just mess around for a bit. All I usually do on Facebook is check comments people make on my things or look at pictures and such that I was tagged in. The best part to me about Facebook is how easy it is to contact someone and share things like pictures or videos with them. Many people let Facebook take up most of or all their free time. They become like addicted and tend to just search people and friends and look through all their status’. It is sad to see someone spend all their time doing something so unproductive. I am never on long enough for anyone to even notice. I check for anything new like comments and I log out. I don’t let myself get stuck looking through pointless information when I could be out doing many other things. Social networking has not affected me in a way where I can say it is a big part of my life. I use it reasonably and just for short periods of time. I have nothing against it and think it is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. If it is used correctly it should not have such a great impact on your life. All it is a place to share your thoughts, chat with friends and post things. This means not much really goes on with Facebook so you should not be wasting all your time on it.
