Usain Bolt is obviously an outstanding athlete and the best in the world. Someone who has come from only competeing in the 200 meter dash to coming into the olympics running the 100 had to be a big deal. That had to put major stress on him knowing he has never ran this event at such a high competition level, and to come through with such a magnificent time is unbelievable. This shows he is a well rounded track and field athlete, capable of showing his talent in multiple events. His speed in the 4x100 meter relay along witht the open 4oo is something many athletes cannot compete with. I think if i was given the opportunity to run a race against Usain Bolt i would deffinatley accept that. There is never a time in my life where i would be able to compete against someon with such high levels of skill. I would have to accept the fact that i am going to lose and try my hardest. I wouldnt race to try and win, but to see how perfect he actually runs. I would love to see him run in person. His form has to be great and im sure it looks faster if your actually standing there watching him rather than through the television at home. In track and field I run on average a 11 something in the 100 meter dash. The world record set by Usain Bolt is a 9.58. I couldnt even imagine running that fast of a time and wish I could see it in person. The fastest I have ever seen in person was a 10.4 when I went to states last year. That looked very fast compared to the track meets around Alden. I could only imagine how fast races like that are at world class level at such things like the olympics. Usain Bolt to me is an oustanding athlete since he has made few appearences and achieved such great things already. Being that he is so young it will be a great thing to see how he turns out later in his career.
